Toronto police said they are searching for two large dogs and their owner after an attack that left a woman with “life-changing” injuries.
The police added that they responded to an animal-related complaint in the area of Martin Grove Road and John Garland Street shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
They added that a woman was waiting at a bus stop when two leashed dogs attacked her, and she tried to defend herself with a personal shopping cart, but the dogs dragged her to the ground and continued attacking her.
They explained that the woman was able to hide in a passerby's car and was taken to the hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries, but they are not life-threatening.
The police said that someone followed the dogs and saw them attacking a cyclist and trying to attack a resident in their yard, as well as a TTC Wheel-Trans operator who was able to close the doors in time, and the dogs are described as black and white and larger built.
