The Somali National Army announced its success in eliminating prominent leaders and members of the "Khawarij militias" in a military operation in the central region.
According to the Somali News Agency "SONA" today, Saturday, "the military operation was conducted in cooperation with the popular resistance in an area belonging to the city of Harartiri, resulting in the killing of the deputy front officer in the regions of Mudug and Galguduud, a foreign leader, as well as five militia members."
It indicated that "the implementation of the military operation was based on intelligence information during the militias' passage on the road in the Dumay area, where the army succeeded in seizing the military equipment they had."
According to the agency, "the prominent leader killed in the military operation is named Mohamed Ishaq O-Raji, and he held the position of deputy front officer for the Khawarij militias in the Mudug and Galguduud regions."
