In a striking escalation of the ongoing tension between Iran and Israel, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Tehran, urging it to reach an agreement “before everything collapses,” while Israeli sources confirmed that Tel Aviv received prior U.S. approval for the recent attack.
Trump said in an urgent statement:
“Iran must reach an agreement before everything goes, and save what was formerly known as the Iranian empire.”
He continued, warning:
“It is time to end this situation, bearing in mind that the upcoming attacks — which have already been planned — will be more aggressive.”
U.S. green light for the attack
In a parallel development, Axios reported from a senior Israeli security source confirming that:
“Israel received a clear U.S. green light to carry out airstrikes on military and nuclear sites in Iran.”
The source clarified — according to what was reported by Khabar24 network — that this coordination “took place during advanced communications with the U.S. administration, which was fully aware of the timing and nature of the operation.”
Background of the escalation
These statements come in the wake of the Israeli airstrike that targeted, early Friday, nuclear and missile facilities inside Iran, prompting Tehran to respond via drones that attacked sites within Israel. The Israeli Home Front Command announced a state of alert and advised residents to prepare to stay for extended periods in protected areas.
In response, Iran confirmed that “the retaliation will not stop,” asserting its “full right to defend its sovereignty by all means.”
