The Ottawa police announced that they have opened a criminal investigation after two bodies were found inside a house in the Barrhaven area on Sunday morning.
According to the capital's police, security personnel were called to a house located on Sherway Drive, near the intersection of Greenbank and Strandherd, around 11 a.m. after receiving a report about the incident. Upon their arrival, the police found a man and a woman deceased inside the house.
The authorities have not yet disclosed the identities of the victims or the nature of their relationship, while confirming that the circumstances of the death are considered "suspicious" and are under investigation by the Major Crimes Unit.
The police urged anyone with relevant information or footage from surveillance cameras in the area to contact the investigators, confirming that the investigation is still in its preliminary stages.
