The death of a woman and her dog in a shooting incident inside a house in Markham

A 20-year-old woman, named Neilkashi Ragothas, and her dog were killed in a shooting incident inside a home on Solace Road in Markham on Friday morning. Another man was seriously injured.

The house has been targeted by gunfire five times since 2018. Suspects were seen fleeing in a black Acura TLX.

Police are investigating the motive behind the incident and are asking residents to review their surveillance camera footage.
