The official spokesperson for the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, confirmed that the Canadian authorities found the body of the Jordanian citizen Walid Ammarin, who had been missing earlier and was officially reported as disappeared.

Al-Qudah clarified in a press statement today, Monday, that the Canadian authorities conducted a DNA test on the body that was found, and confirmed that the results matched Ammarin's identity. The examination also showed that the cause of death resulted from a drowning accident.

Al-Qudah indicated that the relevant Canadian authorities officially informed the deceased's wife of the investigation results and the discovery of the body, confirming that the ministry is in constant contact with Ammarin's family and is ready to coordinate the transfer of the body to the Kingdom if the family wishes to do so.

Al-Qudah, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offered his deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased, praying to God to bless him with His vast mercy and to grant him a place in His expansive paradise.

This incident comes in the context of ongoing efforts by the Jordanian embassies abroad to follow up on the cases of missing individuals and citizens abroad, in coordination with the local authorities in the host countries.
