A family from Ontario expressed their shock after their 16-year-old daughter was allegedly assaulted by a staff member at a resort while she was inside an elevator. The family confirmed that the girl was terrified by the incident that occurred during their vacation.
According to statements from the victim's parents, their daughter was inside the elevator when the employee approached her inappropriately, which caused her to feel scared and panicked. The family explained that the girl managed to escape the situation, but she is still suffering from the psychological trauma resulting from the incident.
The family reported the incident to the resort management and called for strict action against the staff member involved. A formal report was also filed with the police, who opened an investigation into the incident to look into the circumstances and take appropriate legal action.
For its part, the resort issued a statement reaffirming its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all guests, emphasizing that it will cooperate with law enforcement to investigate the incident and take necessary measures to prevent such occurrences from happening again.
This incident comes amid increasing calls to enhance safety standards within tourist resorts and to ensure the protection of visitors, especially teenagers and minors, from any threats or harassment.
