The police said that a 3-year-old boy who was stabbed by a woman in a parking lot at a grocery store in Ohio has died in what investigators believe to be a random attack.
The police stated that the boy and his mother were returning to their car after shopping at Giant Eagle grocery store on Monday when a woman attacked them with a knife and stabbed them. The boy later died in the hospital.
The police confirmed that a 32-year-old woman has been detained at the scene in North Olmsted, a suburb of Cleveland.
The county medical examiner identified the boy as 3-year-old Julian Wood. The police did not disclose the identity of his mother or her condition.
