Paramedics in Ottawa said a man was taken to hospital in critical condition and another was seriously injured after a shooting overnight at the ByWard Market.

 It happened  yesterday  Tuesday in the area of Clarence and Barnett Streets.

Two adult men were found with gunshot wounds, according to Ottawa paramedics.  One was found with life-threatening injuries, while another was reported to be in serious but stable condition, and they were taken to nearby hospitals.  

  The police have not announced any charges or arrests related to the shooting.  The police say the investigation is ongoing.
