The "Al Jazeera" news network reported today, Monday, that Israeli Knesset member and head of the "Yisrael Beiteinu" party Avigdor Lieberman said that the Israeli system is stuck on October 7, and that they have not learned any lessons from that day.

Lieberman added: "I trust only the Defense Ministry's team in the ceasefire negotiations," stressing that "the head of the Mossad should not deal with the file and should focus on Iran."

He emphasized that they must "use all available options because we have exhausted our deterrence capability to zero."

In a related context, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported from two sources that security chiefs were shocked by the statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office regarding the prisoner exchange deal, where he said yesterday, Sunday, that any deal with Hamas should allow Israel to continue fighting, while opposition leader Yair Lapid questioned the utility of such "provocative statements" at this stage of negotiations.

This comes as hundreds of Israeli protesters tried to reach Netanyahu’s residence in West Jerusalem to pressure the government to conclude a prisoner exchange deal with the Palestinian resistance.

The Hebrew newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" stated that hundreds of Israelis protested near Netanyahu’s residence on Gaza Street in West Jerusalem, attempting to reach the residence, but the police prevented them. Additionally, dozens of protesters in Tel Aviv, demanding a prisoner exchange deal, attempted to block a section of the main Ayalon highway in the city center, according to the same source.
