A man from Sturgeon County has been charged after shooting a teenager over the weekend.
Police say two teenagers, 15 and 16 years old, were at a rural property on Range Road 255 near St. Albert on Saturday when a man with a gun confronted them and shot the 16-year-old.
Jim Brigin, 84, has been charged with aggravated assault, using a firearm in the commission of an offense, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and intentionally reckless discharge of a firearm.
He has been remanded and a trial date has been set for July 4 in Morinville.
The victim's condition has not been disclosed.
