The Canadian Environmental Agency warned of rising temperatures today, Monday, in a large part of Alberta, including Calgary and Edmonton.
It indicated that temperatures are expected to exceed 30 degrees.
In its warning, the agency stated that daytime temperatures will approach 30 degrees today and will gradually rise to nearly 35 degrees Celsius by Wednesday in many areas of Alberta.
The warning extends to the affected areas towards western Alberta from the northwestern tip of the province to just north of Lethbridge.
The Canadian Environmental Agency urged people in the affected areas to take necessary precautions
to be careful of the consequences of rising temperatures in the region.
