The violent storms that hit Eastern Canada caused the deaths of four people and left nearly 900,000 homes in Ontario and Quebec without electricity.
Ontario police announced via Twitter that three people were killed and several others injured due to the severe storm.
The police said that one person was killed when a tree fell on the trailer he was staying in Brant, south of Toronto.
According to the same source, a woman over 70 years old, who was walking in the same area during the storm, was killed by a falling tree.
To the north, in the federal capital Ottawa, one person died due to the thunderstorms. A woman in her fifties also drowned when a boat capsized due to the storm in a river separating Ottawa from Gatineau in Quebec, according to what Radio Canada reported from local police.
