There are expectations that the weather today, Thursday, will be sunny in southern Ontario

According to the latest weather forecasts from Environment Canada, the afternoon will be mixed, with sun and clouds and a chance of showers and a thunderstorm.

The morning will feature sunny conditions with patches of fog dissipating early, before clouds roll in during the afternoon.

Forecasts indicate a mix of sun and clouds for the afternoon with a 30 percent chance of showers and a risk of thunderstorms later.

It will be a hot and humid day, with the high temperature expected to reach 29 degrees Celsius, but it will feel like 34 degrees Celsius with the humidity.

Environment Canada advised citizens to apply sunscreen if they plan to go outside, as the UV index will be 10 or very high.

Early evening is expected to be cloudy with a 30 percent chance of rain and again there is a risk of thunderstorms.
