The investigation is underway today, Sunday, following the shooting of a young man in the Lachine area of Montreal
Montreal Police (SPVM) responded to a 911 call at 5:30 AM yesterday, Saturday, after hearing gunfire on Richmond Street near Camille Street
When officers arrived at the scene, they were unable to locate the victim or the suspect.
At around 5:45 AM, the 23-year-old victim arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the upper body, and there is no fear for his life.
For her part, Caroline Chèvrefils, spokesperson for SPVM, stated that a conflict escalated between the victim and one or more suspects, and the victim was shot" before the suspect or suspects fled the scene, and the police investigation is ongoing
