The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants expressed its strong condemnation of Israel's continued systematic aggression against unarmed Palestinian civilians, and its deliberate targeting of shelters for displaced Palestinians, the latest of which was the massacre committed in the refugee camp in the Mawasi – Khan Younis.
The ministry stated, in a statement reported by the National News Agency today, Sunday, that it "condemns Israel's continued violation of international humanitarian law and its commission of crimes of genocide, in a clear challenge to efforts to achieve a ceasefire. It renewed its call for the international community to take immediate and effective action to put an end to this unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, and to provide the necessary international protection for the Palestinian people."
90 Palestinians were killed and more than 300 others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on Saturday on the Mawasi area designated for displaced persons west of the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
