The Canadian environment has issued a warning for severe thunderstorms today, Monday, in Montreal and some surrounding areas, as well as across Quebec.

The environmental agency stated that conditions will be favorable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms capable of producing very strong winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall during the morning.

Areas included in the warning:

Metro Montréal - Laval.

Vaudreuil

Valleyfield Beauharnois

Québec City

There are warnings for heavy rainfall in the following areas:

Coaticook.

Mascouche

Mont-Orford-Lake Memphremagog

Rawdon-Joliette

Sherbrooke

Sorel-Yamaska

Vercheres-Beloeil

The chance of rain and thunderstorms is expected to continue until Monday afternoon, with weather conditions expected to improve on Monday evening.
