Peel police are looking for a suspect accused of throwing a woman to the ground before stealing her car in Mississauga last month.
The incident occurred near Preston Meadow Avenue Hurontario Street in the Thornwood Drive Eglinton Avenue East area, on the afternoon of February 8.
The police said a woman stopped her car at a community mailbox, and when she got out, an unknown man approached her and assaulted her.
He is also alleged to have thrown her to the ground and drove off with her car.
The police said the victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Meanwhile, officers found the woman's car abandoned more than one kilometer away near
Acorn Place James Austin Drive.
On Friday, police released a description of the suspect, a South Asian man in his twenties last seen wearing a blue coat with his face covered and sunglasses.
Police also said the suspect is believed to be connected to two getaway cars and released pictures of the vehicles in an attempt to locate the suspect.
