The Canadian Ministry of Health has issued an order to recall salami products in all grocery stores due to suspicion of possible metal pieces.
A recall notice was issued for pepperoni sticks produced by Freybe Gourmet Foods due to containing metal pieces.
The recall notice also applies to the brand Freybe Pepperoni Smoked Sausage Sticks Original.
The affected products must have an expiration date before May 30, 2024.
They come in packages weighing 500 grams and 2 kg.
It is likely that the affected pepperoni sticks were sold in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.
The Ministry of Health has urged consumers and retailers not to handle, use, sell, offer, or distribute the suspected products mentioned above.
