The Egyptian government is concerned from time to time with enhancing communication with governments and peoples around the world from time to time, and one of the most important concerns is to strengthen international relations and promote Egyptian tourism and travel to Egypt to see the Pharaonic monuments and enhance the Egyptian economy. Perhaps the last of these events was the inauguration of the Egyptian pavilion at the Ottawa Travel and Vacation Show in its 27th session, in the Canadian capital, Ottawa, by Ambassador Ahmed Hafiz, Egypt's ambassador to Canada.

The Egyptian pavilion represents Egypt's official participation in the exhibition on behalf of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, which was represented and supervised at the Egyptian pavilion by its representative, Mr. Wael Mansour.

Also participating from the embassy were Counselor Mohamed Helmy, Head of the Commercial Office, and Counselor Tamer Tawfiq, Deputy Chief of the Egyptian Mission, where Ambassador Hafiz and embassy members were keen to be present among the visitors from Canadians and travel agents who flocked to the exhibition and its various pavilions.

The Egyptian pavilion received an influx of interest regarding what Egypt offers in terms of attractions and services that reflect many aspects of tourism as a diverse tourist destination.

More than two hundred exhibitors from Canada and various countries around the world are participating in the exhibition to promote different tourist destinations.
