The CEO of the American electric car manufacturer "Tesla," Elon Musk, announced his company's intention to unveil its long-awaited self-driving car, the "Robotaxi," on the eighth of next August.
The billionaire Musk did not provide any further details in his very brief post on the social media platform "X," which he owns.
According to previous statements, the self-driving car will rely on a new technical program aimed at making production more efficient and cost-effective.
Musk has promised over the years to deliver the "Tesla" self-driving car; which will radically change the value of cars and its business model.
So far, the so-called "Autopilot" technology, developed by "Tesla" in the company's electric cars, is merely a driver assistance system that requires control and intervention by a human behind the wheel.
