Quebec police accuse Geniouit and Jossafat Mayoba of killing a girl in a care home

Officials in Quebec police announced that two people were accused of killing a 14-month-old girl last month at a daycare center in Quebec City.

Janeuit Kiwangala Mpowaka, 25, was charged yesterday, Wednesday, with second-degree murder in the death of a young child in the Beauport borough of Quebec City.

The woman also appeared yesterday with the other accused, Josaphat Mayuba Ndeli, 30, who was charged with complicity in the murder.

Last week, Quebec City police announced that they arrested them in Montreal, stating that the woman is accused of assault.

The police had responded to the incident on March 21 regarding an unconscious child, and paramedics tried to resuscitate her, but she died after a few hours in the hospital.
