Police said a five-month-old baby was among the three people found dead in a home in Richmond Hill last week, in what investigators believe to be a case of intimate partner violence.
York Regional Police provided an update on Thursday regarding their investigation into the February 1 incident at a residence near Young Street and Carville Road.
Investigators said the other two deceased were a 41-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman.
The police did not reveal the identities of the deceased or their relationships to each other.
The police said the autopsy was completed, but the causes of death have not been disclosed either.
Officers were first called to the home located on MacKay Drive at around 4:15 p.m. last Thursday to check on the "welfare of its occupants," and it is unclear who contacted the police.
This was followed by a homicide investigation, but the police said at the time there was no threat to public safety.
