An investigation was announced after a house was shot multiple times during the night in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve area.

At around noon yesterday, Sunday, the police received a call to 911 reporting gunfire at the house located on Pierre - Tétreault Street near Tellier Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they found several bullet holes in the house and many bullet casings on the ground.

According to the preliminary information collected by the police, the shots were likely fired around 2:20 AM.

A police spokesperson said that the police received several calls to 911 earlier on Sunday but did not find any projectile traces during the night.

The police confirmed that no one was injured, no arrests have been made, but the investigation is ongoing.
