Two people died when a single-engine plane crashed while attempting to land in the city of "Truckee" in the state of "California" yesterday Saturday, local time, according to local airport officials and other law enforcement agencies.
According to the "FlightAware" website concerned with tracking planes, the "Daher TBM 900" plane took off from "Denver" in Colorado on the afternoon of yesterday Saturday, according to the American "ABC News" network today Sunday.
The police said in a statement that the plane crashed around 6:38 PM "near the intersection of Glenshire Drive and Olympic Boulevard," a crossroads northwest of "Truckee Tahoe" airport.
Airport officials said investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are expected to arrive at the accident site on Sunday morning.
