The regional police announced a special investigation regarding a fire that destroyed a shrimp processing factory in eastern Quebec on Friday evening 

The Quebec police  SQ were called to assist the fire department, and the investigation into the incident was transferred to the prosecution yesterday, Saturday 

SQ spokesman Stéphane Tremblay stated: This investigation is being followed by firefighters, but after obtaining information about the incident, a decision was made to transfer the responsibility for the investigation to Quebec security.

The major crimes investigation department at the SQ is directly handling the investigations to determine the causes and circumstances of the fire, and it will continue throughout the weekend.

A video was posted on the X platform showing flames rising and a cloud of black smoke ascending from the factory, along with the presence of many firefighters at the scene.
