Flags at United Nations headquarters across Asia were lowered on Monday, November 13, 2023, and staff were invited to observe a minute of silence for the souls of their colleagues who died in the war in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The blue and white United Nations flag was lowered in Bangkok, Tokyo, and Beijing the day after the United Nations announced a "large number of dead and injured" in the "bombing" of the United Nations Development Programme headquarters in Gaza.

UNRWA had announced on Friday that more than one hundred of its workers have fallen in the Gaza Strip since the start of the war.
