Documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon revealed that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump formally accused the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, of what the administration described as "anti-Semitism" and "supporting terrorism."
According to the documents, the Trump administration officially requested the United Nations to relieve Albanese of her position, considering that her statements and positions exceeded the limits of her professional mandate and undermined regional peace efforts.
According to sources, the U.S. memo included accusations that Albanese "uses her position to incite against Israel and justify acts of violence," as well as "spreading hate speech that contradicts the principles of the United Nations."
So far, neither the United Nations nor Albanese has issued an official comment on these demands and accusations.
