The security forces in Niagara were able to arrest a 57-year-old man, on charges of planting a bomb in his hotel room in Niagara Falls.
With the emergency crews present at a hotel on Portage Road between Chippewa Parkway and Front Street
The police reported that they received information indicating that a man staying in one of the rooms entered an adjacent room and told those present that he had planted an explosive device.
As a result, the adjacent rooms were evacuated, and an emergency alert was issued as a precautionary measure according to the police.
The man's room was secured, and members of the Niagara Police Department's bomb disposal unit arrived to investigate, and the man was apprehended walking about a kilometer away from the hotel, as reported by the police.
It is worth noting that the police were able to identify the suspect and announced him as Paul Anthony Baparoni from Niagara Falls, and he has been charged with vandalism.
