The electric light truck Cybertruck launched by the American company Tesla a few months ago has earned the title of the fastest electric light truck in the United States.

According to the American magazine "Car and Driver" specialized in automotive topics, the truck succeeded during the test in reaching a speed of 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.6 seconds, thanks to its three electric motors that together produce 834 horsepower. The Rivian R1T truck came in second place.

The magazine's experts wrote that "achieving Cybertruck an acceleration rate of 2.6 seconds makes it faster than any electric truck we have tested." Moreover, the Cybertruck is faster than some of the most famous sports cars in the world, including the Porsche 911.

The Cybertruck also completed a quarter-mile distance (402 meters) in 11 seconds at a speed of 119 miles per hour (191 kilometers per hour), outperforming Rivian by 0.5 seconds and the GMC Hummer EV by 0.8 seconds.

This comes while some owners of the Cybertruck, whose body is made of polished stainless steel, complained about the appearance of rust spots on the vehicle when left in an exposed rainy place.

Tesla has not officially denied the existence of this problem, and pointed out that the truck user's manual indicates the possibility of rust spots or corrosion on stainless steel panels under certain conditions. A company engineer said that these spots can be "easily cleaned."
