The German channel "N-TV" reported today, Saturday, that Berlin has decided to provide Kyiv with another type of "Patriot" missiles.

It quoted the German Ministry of Defense as saying: "Germany will provide Ukraine with another air defense system of the 'Patriot' type."

The ministry added that the decision regarding the additional reinforcement of the Ukrainian air defense system was made "due to the increase in the number of Russian airstrikes on Ukraine," according to the news site "Russia Today."

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock previously stated that German "Patriot" reserves had been depleted, promising to purchase air defense systems for Kyiv from third countries.

Previously, Germany had supplied Ukraine with two "Patriot" systems.
