The German vehicle licensing authority (KBA) announced that the German car manufacturer Mercedes is working to recall about 341,000 cars from the "GLA" and "GLS" models produced between 2017 and 2023 due to the risk of a fire occurring in them.
According to the statement, there may be a defect in the connection located on the ground cable connection base of 48 volts, which poses a risk of fire.
The statement mentioned that the connection will be inspected and repaired if necessary.
More than 11,000 vehicles in Germany were affected. A prompt comment from Mercedes-Benz could not be obtained.
