The spokesman for the Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, announced that the passing of a year since the commando operation represents an extraordinary success in modern times.
He pointed out that this preemptive strike came after the enemy reached the final stages in planning a large-scale attack against the resistance in Gaza.
Abu Obeida said: We have killed and wounded thousands of enemy soldiers and taken hundreds of military vehicles out of service.
He added, "Our option is to continue in a long and painful war of attrition with the enemy, and the battles have proven the success of this choice."
Abu Obeida clarified that the battle "Storm of Al-Aqsa" was a response to the escalation of Israeli aggression against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the increasing pace of settlement and judaization, in addition to the ongoing attacks of the occupation against Palestinian prisoners.
He also praised the legendary steadfastness of the Palestinian people despite regional negligence and the betrayal of regimes, affirming that the resistance enjoys direct support from fiery regional fronts surrounding Palestine.
He emphasized the prominent role of Yemeni and Iraqi drones that fly over occupied Palestine and inflict heavy losses on the occupation.
