The Egyptian capital, Cairo, will host a high-level meeting tomorrow that includes the foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, alongside the Secretary-General of the Arab League and the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, to discuss the latest regional developments and issues of common concern.
Meeting Files and Objectives
The meeting is expected to focus on developments in the Palestinian issue, efforts to revive the peace process, in addition to discussing developments in the Arab region, including files related to regional security and the political and economic challenges facing Arab countries.
Ministers will also discuss ways to enhance joint Arab action and coordination on a number of issues on the Arab League's agenda, in preparation for upcoming diplomatic entitlements, whether at the Arab or international level.
Cairo's Role in Strengthening Arab Diplomacy
This meeting comes amid intensive diplomatic moves led by Cairo to support regional stability and enhance Arab cooperation in addressing current challenges. Egypt is keen to unify Arab positions on thorny issues and emphasize the importance of political solutions to the existing crises in the region.
