Germany rejects the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and affirms their ownership of the territory.

The German Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, affirmed that the Gaza Strip belongs to the Palestinians, stressing that expelling them from it is unacceptable and contradicts international law.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Baerbock warned that such steps would lead to more suffering and hatred, asserting that no solution can be proposed that ignores Palestinians and their rights.

This statement comes one day after former U.S. President Donald Trump suggested the displacement of Palestinian residents of the Gaza Strip to other places and taking control of the area to establish a project he called "Riviera of the Middle East."
