The Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed its strong condemnation of the statements made by former U.S. President Donald Trump, in which he called for the expulsion of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and announced his support for the alleged Israeli sovereignty over the Palestinian territories.

The organization emphasized, in a statement published on its website, that these statements violate international law and United Nations resolutions, including Security Council Resolution 2334, which rejects Israeli settlement. It also stressed that such positions undermine the chances of peace and destabilize the region.

The organization categorically rejected any attempts to change the geographical, demographic, or legal reality of the occupied Palestinian territories, affirming that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the State of Palestine. It called for the establishment of a comprehensive and sustainable ceasefire, the complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation, as well as the strengthening of Palestinian resilience, the provision of urgent relief, economic recovery, and the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

The organization also stressed the necessity of holding Israel accountable for the crimes and violations it has committed against the Palestinians, affirming its full solidarity with the Palestinian people and its unwavering support for their just struggle within the framework of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.
