The Houthi Ansar Allah movement announced in a statement today, Tuesday, the implementation of a military operation targeting an Israeli military base east of Tel Aviv with a hypersonic ballistic missile called "Palestine 2".
In its statement, it indicated that "the missile successfully reached its target, surpassing the American and Israeli interception systems".
The text of the statement was as follows:
"In victory for the oppression of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples and in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance, the missile force of the Yemeni armed forces executed a qualitative military operation targeting a military base belonging to the Israeli occupation east of the occupied city of Jaffa using a hypersonic ballistic missile 'Palestine 2'.
The missile succeeded in reaching its target, surpassing the American and Israeli interception systems.
This operation comes "as part of the fifth phase of escalation in the Promise of Conquest battle and the Holy Jihad supporting the Al-Aqsa Flood".
The movement confirmed "its continuation in carrying out military operations against the Israeli enemy until the aggression is stopped and the siege on Gaza is lifted, as well as halting the aggression on Lebanon"
This is not the first time the Houthis have launched missile strikes towards Israel, as the armed forces affiliated with the Houthis announced last June that they had carried out a major attack on Tel Aviv.
