The Israeli Broadcasting Authority announced the thwarting of assassination attempts in Israel that were in advanced stages of preparation and execution, by the " Shabak".
 

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, Shabak requested the public's assistance in uncovering assassination plots and confirmed in a statement: that "there is an escalation in Iran's efforts to promote assassinations 'attacks against targets in Israel'."

Shabak's statement indicated that in recent weeks, a significant escalation in Iran's efforts to enhance assassination attacks against targets in Israel has been discovered, and in this context, Shabak has implemented countermeasures described as "extremely important", some of which are in advanced stages of procurement and readiness for execution. Shabak clarified that these setbacks have not yet been allowed to be published.
