American billionaire Elon Musk said today, Wednesday, that the AI Risk Summit held in the UK aims to establish a neutral body to oversee developments in artificial intelligence technology.
The owner of SpaceX, Tesla, and X added that the AI summit in the UK aims to create a supervisory framework so that there is at least a third party or independent arbitrator who can monitor what leading AI companies are doing and sound the alarm if there are concerns about it.
Elon Musk continued that there is great concern among those working in the field of artificial intelligence about governments rushing to set regulatory rules before knowing what should be done, and this should not happen.
Earlier, news reports mentioned that world leaders, some officials from giant technology companies, and AI experts are holding a meeting today, Wednesday, as part of the first global summit on the risks arising from the rapid development of AI technology. The reports explained that on the first day, participants will discuss the potential risks of advanced generative AI programs, such as Chat GPT.
