Tehran – Arab Canada News
The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Friday, that Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian traveled to the Omani capital, Muscat, accompanied by a team of experts, to participate in a new round of negotiations with the United States.
The spokesperson clarified that this round is part of the ongoing efforts to ease regional tensions and address the pending bilateral issues, primarily the Iranian nuclear program and the economic sanctions imposed on Tehran.
These developments come at a time when the Middle East is witnessing an escalation in crises, amid rapid diplomatic moves from several regional and international parties, especially with the anniversary of the nuclear agreement reached in 2015 approaching and the repercussions of Washington's withdrawal from it during former President Donald Trump's administration.
