Former US President Donald Trump warned the Houthi group on Monday of a "very strong" response if they launched new attacks, pointing out that the United States would consider any attack from the Houthis as an attack from Iran.
Trump stated in a post on the "Truth Social" platform that "any shot from the Houthis will henceforth be considered a shot from the weapons and leadership of Iran," emphasizing that Tehran will bear responsibility for any escalation and will face "severe consequences."
Trump added that "any attack or further response from the Houthis will be met with great force," accusing Iran of failing to lose control over the groups associated with it, and instructing the Houthis "at every step," in addition to supplying them with weapons, money, advanced military equipment, and intelligence information.
Trump's remarks came following US airstrikes targeting Houthi positions in Yemen for the second consecutive day, amid official confirmations of the continuation of military operations in the coming period.
