Toronto police announced that they are searching for a man wanted in connection with a suspected hate-motivated assault at a TTC subway station.
In a statement issued yesterday, Tuesday, the police said the incident occurred on February 15, around 11 PM, at Greenwood subway station in the east end, and according to the police, the suspect approached the victim sitting in the subway.
The officers also allege that he made anti-Asian remarks and assaulted the victim before fleeing the area, and the police said the victim sustained minor injuries as a result.
The police describe the suspect as being between 30 to 40 years old with short dark hair, wearing a dark jacket with yellow stripes and black shoes at the time of the incident.
The police ask anyone with information to contact them at 416-808-3500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
