Toronto police found a small stolen truck, as well as other cars found by the police with a financial value reaching 1.8 million dollars.

The security agencies succeeded in arresting three suspects from the Toronto area, and during the investigations 38 charges were filed against them.

Comprehensive security investigations began with the Canadian Border Services Agency, after the Commercial Vehicle Crime Office of Peel Regional Police took over the investigation at a truck transportation yard in Brampton last December.

A short video clip was posted on social media, and Richard Chen, the media officer for the Border Services Agency, said it led the police to an industrial area in Bolton that was said to be used for lifting stolen cars, in addition to the port of Montreal.

Police reported that the stolen cars were headed to ports in Dubai and Oman.

Investigators carried out several search warrants on March 26, and arrested two men from Toronto and another from Mississauga.

Police charged the suspect Fouad Shakhtour, aged 62, with four charges related to trafficking in stolen goods, possession of property obtained by crime, in addition to two charges of possessing a master key for the car and another charge of breaching a release order.

The suspect Ali Alfawair, 38 years old, from Toronto, faces two charges regarding trafficking in stolen goods and possession of property obtained by crime, possession of master keys for the car, in addition to one charge related to breach of undertaking and breach of release order.

Both suspects appeared in court in Brampton and were remanded for a bail hearing.

It is noteworthy that the police charged the suspect Harveer Bopari, 29 years old, from Mississauga, with eight charges related to trafficking stolen goods and 10 charges of possession of property obtained by crime.
