Montreal Police (SPVM) announced an investigation after a man injured by stabbing arrived at the hospital yesterday, Sunday.
The police responded to a 911 call at 6:20 AM and found a 30-year-old man seriously injured in the upper part of his body due to a sharp weapon," according to SPVM spokesman Jean-Pierre Brabant.
The officers also identified the crime scene later yesterday, Sunday, on Metropolitain Boulevard near Langelier Boulevard.
SPVM investigators and crime scene technicians are now trying to determine the causes and circumstances that led to the assault.
The police confirmed that the victim has no criminal record.
Brabant said, "Once his condition improves, investigators will meet with him."
