Tehran – Arab Canada News

The commander of the ground forces of the Iranian army, Brigadier General Kiomars Heydari, confirmed that Iran is among the "strongest armies in the world" and that it will not allow any enemy to commit "any evil" against the country, emphasizing the utmost readiness of his forces and full reliance on local capabilities in the defense industries sector.

Heydari stated, in remarks reported by the official IRNA news agency on Saturday, that "our readiness is now at its highest levels, and thanks to it, we can impose sustainable security within our borders, unlike some neighboring countries that rely on foreign powers." He added: "We do not rely on any external party for our military supplies."

Heydari pointed out that Iran has a "triple plan" to tighten control over its borders, asserting that the implementation is progressing noticeably, given the complex regional circumstances.

Simultaneous Messages from the Revolutionary Guard

In this context, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hossein Salami, reiterated his country's stance against starting any war, but at the same time emphasized that Iran is ready for any potential confrontation. Salami said: "The enemy is in our crosshairs everywhere, and the Zionist entity is like a table in front of us," confirming that Iran possesses "the software and equipment necessary to defeat Israel, despite unlimited American support for it."

Background: Mutual Escalation with Washington

These Iranian military statements come at a time when relations between Tehran and Washington are experiencing sharp escalation. U.S. President Donald Trump announced last March that he sent a direct message to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, expressing his preference for reaching a diplomatic agreement regarding the Iranian nuclear program.

Nonetheless, Trump later threatened to use military options, stating: "If Iran does not agree to a new nuclear deal, it will witness bombing like it has never seen before."

These mutual statements indicate the continuation of tension in the region, amid internal and external pressures surrounding the Iranian nuclear file, and complications related to Tehran's regional interventions and Western support for Israel.
