The Canadian Liberal Party is preparing to announce the results of the leadership race tonight, at an event taking place at the Ottawa conference center.

Current Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expected to deliver a speech marking the end of his 12-year leadership, along with remarks from former Prime Minister Jean Chrétien. Approximately 151,899 members out of 400,000 registered participated in the voting.

The announcement of the winner is expected at 6:30 PM Eastern Time.
