A wave of sadness overshadowed social media platforms over the past few hours, following the circulation of a message from a Saudi father that gained the sympathy of hundreds of people.
This came after the grieving father posted a picture of an invitation to his daughter's wedding on his Twitter account, writing, "Pray for my daughter Raghad Salman Hassan Al-Fifi. Her wedding was on Sunday, the 8th of Dhu al-Qi'dah, but she was escorted on Saturday in her shroud to the Most Merciful.. O Allah, compensate her youth with paradise, forgive her, have mercy on her, make her grave a garden from the gardens of paradise, and strengthen her at the questioning."
Those touching words ignited the "social media" platforms, where many Saudis offered condolences to the bereaved father, especially after his family's joy over his daughter's wedding turned into a tragedy.
It is worth noting that the death of his daughter "Raghad Salman," aged 20, occurred a day before her wedding, which was supposed to be with her cousin Amin bin Suleiman Al-Fifi, last Sunday.
Her family replaced her wedding dress with a shroud, and the smiles on the lips of relatives and friends coming from outside the region turned into sadness and tears.
