The Halifax shopping center was shocked by the occurrence of a murder of a young man last week after a number of teenagers stabbed him in a parking lot until he died.

The Halifax police announced that they had charged a third teenager with second-degree murder in the death of Ahmad al-Murash (16 years old), who was stabbed last week in a parking lot at the "Halifax Shopping Center" in the capital of Nova Scotia, eastern Canada.

The police said on Monday that they had arrested again a 16-year-old male teenager. They had previously arrested him after al-Murash's murder and then released him.

The mentioned young man appeared before the youth court yesterday afternoon and will remain in custody, at least, until his next appearance in court on May 13. He was ordered not to have any contact with the other two teenagers charged with the murder of al-Murash.

Two 14-year-olds, a boy and a girl, were charged last week with second-degree murder in the death of al-Murash. They are still in custody and are also scheduled to appear in court again on May 13.

The police were called to the shopping center parking lot around 5 p.m. last Monday, April 22. Al-Murash died shortly after being transported to the hospital.

About 20 minutes later, the police arrested two suspects as they were riding a Halifax Transit bus, one of whom was the teenage boy whom they charged today in the murder of al-Murash.

The identities of the three teenagers charged in the crime are prohibited from being disclosed because they are minors, under the age of 18.
The officer in the Halifax Regional Police, John MacLeod, did not mention whether there are any other suspects in the case, but he said that investigators do not rule out the possibility of arresting more people. He added that he hopes the ongoing investigations will bring "some comfort" to the family of the slain young teenager.
