A person was killed in a collision involving six cars on Highway 400 in Innisfil, Ontario, last Friday evening.
Police said a crash on the road between two cars in the southbound lanes of Highway 400 near Highway 89 led to the initial accident at
around 5:30 PM.
One of the cars crossed the median, overturned, and collided with a pickup truck in the northbound lanes.
Police also reported that the driver of that car, a 21-year-old man from Mississauga, was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the pickup truck was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The highway was closed between Highway 89 and County Road 88 in Cookstown, and all lanes were reopened around 4 AM yesterday, Saturday.
No charges have been laid at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are urging anyone with footage of the accident to contact the police.
