Toronto police announced an intensified search for a man who allegedly choked and slapped a woman during the weekend in East York

The incident occurred on April 28 near St. Clair O'Connor Driveg Avenue East

Toronto police also stated that they responded to the incident in that area at around 6 a.m. that day after reports of an assault.

Investigators said the suspect knows the victim, adding that she was able to break free and called 9-1-1.

Meanwhile, the suspect fled the area in a blue 2014 Dodge Caravan DAVX 076 with an Ontario license plate, and the suspect, 25-year-old Manuel Sanchez from Toronto, is wanted for three counts of assault and one count of choking.

He is described as having a medium build, dark black hair, and brown eyes.
